Lurker
I have flashed a custom cyanogenmod rom for android 4.4.0 but after reboot/restart there was a "Security error" text under the LG logo  . I tried several ways to fix it but I can't. Can someone please explain me the fastboot recovery method, cuz I can't understand those cmd commands and how to type them :dontknow: . And do someone know how can I set my phone at emergency mode :o ? Thnx!

LG Optimus L9 P760

I was using android 4.1.2 before I flash the cyanogenmod.

Welcome to our AndroidForums, bromange :).

I've moved your thread over to the all-things-root area for the LG Optimus L9 for you since the folks in here can help you best.

Cheers and best of luck!

As mario0318 stated... The LG L9 can be quite the pain to recover. The good news is that they generally can be recovered from just about anything... But will require some work on your end.
I'm currently helping another fellow member to try and recover his LG L9, in the thread that mario posted. I'd recommend reading through the last few pages of our discussion as there is some good reference material to help familiarize yourself with the L9 and there are some links with guides, tips, tricks and FAQ. Just to get you started.
LG has disabled fastboot on the LG L9. So really the only way to fastboot the L9 is to run a special script by lelus. For some that can be a pain to setup the drivers and to get the script to work.

Are you rooted?
Is your bootloader unlocked?
Do you have a custom recovery installed?

If I remember correctly to get into download/SW mode you... Power off your phone, press Volume (+) Up and then plug in the usb cable to your PC.

Since you flashed a ROM and got a security error.... Either the LG Flash Tool method or the "Offline Fix" method usually works the best.

Really your options to unbrick your L9 are to either -

You can try the unbrick method in the thread that mario posted above or

1. Do the "Online Fix" (LG support tool/PC suite) and recover your phone online with the LG support program.

2 Try the "Offline Fix" basically Spoofs LG servers and allows you to use the support tools and you can then flash any device specific supported KDZ (ROM) for your device... This also requires the fastboot script to be setup. [GUIDE] [UNBRICK][ROOT] FLASH Any LG L9 Fact… | Optimus L9 | XDA Forum

3. Try using the "LG Flash Tool" basically convert a KDZ to a .Bin file and flash it with the Flasher tool, while the phone is in download mode. [BIN]{LGFlashTool} Unbrick/Unroot/Flash ANY … | Optimus L9 | XDA Forum

Hope this helps and gets you started in the right direction! If you have any questions or need any help... Feel free to ask;

Thx for the help!

Here's how I fixed it:

1. Install LG Mobile Support Tool
2.Open it
3.Click "Install USB Driver"
4.Double-click LGP920 and wait to download the driver
5.Install the driver(If you have already installed other LG Mobile driver uninstall it first)
6.Connect your phone to the PC in emergency/download mode(vol. up + connect USB)
7.Click "Options"/"Upgrade recovery" (You may resieve a notifcation: USB drivers installed successfuly, if it stop at 15% and say that USB is not connected, turn off the phone and try again)
8.Wait(make sure you have stable internet connection)
9.At the last step at ~90% your phone will reboot automaticaly and a dead android will appear, just wait a few secconds
10.Have fun with your firmware :D
