Have you seen this thread? I'm not sure it applies to you since you can get service on an Sense ROM but there might be something there that can help.

Also, have you tried doing a profile and PRL update while you are on a Sense ROM before going back to an AOSP based ROM?

Yep. Did a profile and prl update and an epst reset while on the sense ROM. I've tried flashing other AOKP ROMs and have the same issue on all of them. It's the strangest thing, in my old ego v 4g I could switch to aokp ROMs with no issues. I'll check that thread out now

What firmware do you have? Since you are S-OFF it might be worth flashing the RUU, taking the OTA, then flashing a custom hboot and recovery and trying the AOSP ROM again.

There's not much else to try at this point.
