Root help....Please

Well I think im in big trouble maybe someone can help.I tryed to install a new rom over my rooted 2.0.1. that when the trouble beagan the rom install failed and noy my phone is stuck in bbot loop i just keeps restarting never getting past the red eye, Ive removed the battery and waited the reinstalled it gone back into recoverery if restart the same thing happens if I try to update from zip install fails. what else can I try.

You can get into recovery? You should be fine then. Did you make a backup (nandroid) of your previous settings? If so choose "restore" and select that nandroid. If you didn't you can try wiping data/cache and restarting from there. As long as you can get into recovery, your phone is fine. I've had many a boot loop; the first one is scary, but you then learn why they're happening (bad kernel, bad mix of theme/ROM/kernel, forgetting to wipe before changing ROMs etc) Good luck.
