Help Help please...

Hey guys Ive tried getting these otehr keyboards to work but no luck? ive DL slide it and i activtated it and my old keyboard still shows up same with the other thread about the droid x keyboard what am i doing wrong? im going into the keyboard setting and clicking on these keyboards but they dont work?? please help thanks

After you select the keyboard you want to use under settings, go to an application that needs text input like a text message or a google search. Long press on the input area until a pop-up window comes up with the words input method on it. Tap it, and select the keyboard you want to use. If this doesn't help you may have to do some work in adp in terminal.
