I'd like to ask you a favour guys. I have removed the original messaging app by mistake using Root explorer. Now I can't receive text messages at all even though a third party app for messaging has been installed. Would anyone with rooted Milestone send me the original application please? I would very appreciate that.

Another idea would be to re-rom it and basically restore it it should place it back in. But remember to transfer any data u wanna keep before doing that.
yes I tried so many times and the RDSlite kept saying that the process failed. I even tried to install different ROM but with the same result. The messaging app would really help. I guess all the phones with Android 2.1 has the same app for messaging except some htc devices?
Hi, I just checked the system folder and this apk file you mentioned is there, so it must be the main app for writing/sending messages, that's the one missing in app drawer and I don't know what the apk file name is..
