I spent a month with an Android phone and I honestly just don't like the OS. I really want to buy some kind of reasonably priced media player with YouTube 3D access, 3D screen, and 3D camera. Is this phone really worth it for me to be stuck on it for 2 years only for the 3D? I mean would you be stuck for two years on an OS you knew you really disliked?

Are there any 3D devices that have the features I mentioned that are reasonably priced? (That's anywhere from $1-$300)

If I may ask, what is it about Android that you dislike so much? If you don't like the OS and you only want it for the 3D, then hold out for the OS you want to get it (which may be a long time). ;)

Android lacks the numerous apps that I have come to really enjoy on my current phone. Their games library is a straight up joke, except for the Gameloft games and their 3D games. It's not really organized and simple no matter what UI you have on the phone. ONLY the Galaxy phones or maybe it was only the Galaxy S 2, but only those phones run buttery smooth with everything they do, but I hate the UI. The Android Marketplace Apps don't even have compatibility with all the latest android phones! Or if they did then they even had problems. I had the Evo 3D and the fricken Can Knockdown 2 kept freezing in random places and I'd have to close it and force stop it and open it again to keep playing. Sometimes apps that were working the whole time stop working! Plants vs Zombies was working just fine I finally get near the end of the fricken game and then no matter what when I open the game up again it just crashes! The only thing I enjoyed about that Evo 3D that I currently don't have on my phone is 3D features, 3D demo and flash player. Oh and also the fact that my google account syncs all my apps automatically, that's a good feature, but I'll have that feature on my same phone soon enough.
 
I'm not really sure how much more organized you can get than an App drawer with your apps in alphabetical order - isn't that exactly how it is on the iPhone and exactly why Apple is suing everybody? Clearly you have an iPhone and you're not an Android person. That's OK, different strokes for different folks. If you're looking for a pure 3d gaming device, why not pick up a Nintendo 3DS? Android phones are phones first, internet devices second, media devices third, and gaming devices fourth.

That being said a lot of people have complained about how the EVO 3D's 3D-specific content isn't in one place. On the Thrill, there is a 3D "Hub" with all the 3D stuff in one place.

Then again, maybe the iPhone 6 will be a 3D device. I'm sure by this time next year Apple will have a 3D iPhone and then claim they invented the 3D mobile device market.
 
Exactly. So in other words, you're wondering why Apple didn't come out with a 3D phone first? Every phone (and OS) is different and you have to get used to their cons if you want their pros. ;)
 
Honestly, the 3DS was first thing I checked out. Unfortunately, there are very few good games on it, it's region locked, no YouTube 3D, and the 3D camera quality isn't that good. And yeah, if Apple had a 3D iPhone or even a 3D iPod Touch, I'd be satisfied and completely happy. I'd even be happy if the Thrill ran iOS and kept it's 3D features, but that's not even possible.

I don't think it will ever happen. To Apple, 3D is just a fad and not worth the effort. Since they only make 1-2 phones a year, it doesn't leave much for variety. They make what they think will sell to the masses. (not a lot of people like the 3D effect)

That's why I am not a fan of Apple by any means. Apple="You get what we want to give you and you will like it."

Apple didn't patent their 3D display technology and 3D camera system for nothing. They have starting patenting 3D related stuff since 2008. They didn't do it for nothing, and I read that the iPhone 5 actually did have a 3D prototype according an insider, but they're not sure if it will make it in the final retail version. And I'm not talking about that fake pic online. They have been looking into 3D. And I think at the vert least, the feature should be included but not required for use.
