....and now it seems like it fixed itself and went back to my original rooted sense thing. im very confused and i dont think the problem is fixed. i was still unable to get to the recovery mode
is the file on your sd card the upgrade RUU? if so,you prolly let it flash, wich is how you arrived back at it. there is not really any other way you can go from stuck in a cm7bootloop to working stock.
be aware that you are not in a good spot. your current rom if you followed the xda guide is rooted mr1. your phone is going to figure this out and try to update itself to the current mr2,wich you
cannot allow to happen.
youll need to get cm7 working,or at least flash this rooted mr2 so your phone wont update:
[ROM] Official 1.70.605.0 MR2 OTA Deodexed Rooted Busybox Mirrors Added
- xda-developers
there are 2 downloads. flash the radios in hboot(rename PG05IMG like you did the RUUs while rooting),and the rom in clockwork recovery(make sure you wipe cache/data/dalvik cache).
most of the current roms need these newer radios,so youll need to flash them no matter what rom you use,so do that first thing. next you can install a custom rom(like cm7) or the stock rom in the link, its up to you. just remember
you need to flash something so that your phone doesnt automatically update and potentially unroot itself at best, become a brick at worse
see this thread for more specific directions on flashing a rom in clokwork recovery, and flashing things in hboot:
