Help!!..please..

[kwilson96791]

I have a HTC HERO, recently when I had my headset plugged into my phone it began to ring on the external speaker instead of ringing in the headphones, and when i answer the call it answers in speakerphone. So if im in public with my headset on and my phone rings, if i answer my phone everyone around me would be able to hear the incoming callers. I tried changing my headsets but it hasnt work, can anyone help me with this problem?

Thanks
