I have the Note, and if you're coming from an iphone, I'd recommend the Nexus.

It boils down to one thing IMHO. How much time did you spend on the web with the iPhone? If you consider yourself a heavy user, then the screen on the Note is sublime and will suit you better. If you only use the mobile web for twitter, Facebook, football scores and checking your bank balance, then the Nexus will suffice.
Don't be swayed by the s-pen unless you draw alot
Speedwise, if you look at the benchmark tests, there really isn't alot in it. I'd even go as far as to say, unless you were a robot, you'd not notice the difference. I hope that helps

yeah it does all i use it for is facebook ebay ect.. and the the occansional google thing. The only thing is that i have heard the nexus has volume issues?? is that correct? also is the ICS good no bugs ect?

I've not had a play with the Nexus speaker so I can't comment I'm afraid, but that said, all phones sound pants when listened to via the speaker
(Does anyone actually do that? Open Music player, let the tinny sounds begin and then put their phone down and carry on whatever they are doing? Or sit on a bus with it screeching away? Never understood why people get hung up on the speaker quality) As for ICS, it's the latest incarnation, the best it can be, so it'll be epic
