Help Help pleaseeeee audio problem

Ok so I see a lot of people saying they are having problems with video playback when importing from their SD Card but Im having the opposite problem.

I just switched over from the Metro PCS Samsung Code which is a Windows 6 phone to EVO and I put my SD Card in my EVO. All my music files play and the mp4 video files play but the audio from the mp4 video files dont.

Does anyone have advice on how to fix this?

ok so i mounted my phone back to the computer and then checked the properties on the video files and it says the file type is 3GPP2 Movie (.3g2).


i just dont understand because when its not mounted and i look at the properties in my EVO video folder it says its mp4. is it the same?

mp4 is just a container, 3gp is the codec. If the audio isnt playing, you need to tell us what the audio codec and bitrate is, not the video codec.

download MediaInfo on your pc, open the file in there, switch to Tree view, then copy the results here.

Im assuming this was a video taken with the old phone's camcorder. You wont be able to play this on android without converting the audio first. It cant play that codec.
