Help Help question about laptop connection

Hi, I am new to Android and AT&T. My question is I have the 4G data plan and connect to my laptop (which is brand new) via hotspot, if I try to watch youtube videos or other videos my speeds are as slow as my dial up internet. Same slowness with page loads. Am I not running something properly? Also I just ran a speed test at 3:37pm ct on a Saturday and i am downloading and uploading at @ 1 mbps.


FYI I can watch youtube on the htc Inspire without all of the buffering.

I get better speeds by tethering through usb...its still nothing to write home about though
