I have a samsung galaxy s2 which works perfectly other than when I ring one particular friend on her mobile the call is ended and it says ''conditional forwarding active'' . This only started 2 weeks ago as i used to be able to ring her fine before then.

Havent changed any voicemail settings since I had the phone ( googled it and said something to do with voicemail.

Its annoying as means I have to ring this friend on her landline.

All other mobile numbers work instead.

Try withholding your number and you may get through, but to me it sounds like you're in the dog house mate!

No she hasnt blocked me, shes my best mate, lol She hasnt got any numbers on her reject list.

Can ring her from my hubby's mobile, just not from mine, googled ''conditional forwarding active'' and its something to do with voicemail but I cant resolve it, only started 2 weeks ago, she has to ring me now instead.

No I'm not in the dog house, we're best friends and shes as puzzled as I am. Have to use the landline now instead but thats no good if you're out.

get same message if I withhold my number '' call forwarding active ''

Plan B

What happens if you pop your husbands sim card into your phone and call her?

If you can call her, then it's not your phone that is the problem. If not...

Plan C.

Delete her contact details and re-enter them.

Apologies for Hawker and I both thinking that you may be having girlfriend problems... in our case, and experience, we were just going for the obvious first! :date:

Thats no problem, I'm a female and happily married, lol and as I said its my best friend I cant ring ( though it only started about 2 weeks ago).

I've deleted her and re added her but same thing so I'll try swopping hubby's sim card with mine tomorrow to see if it works with his sim.

Seems to be a common problem if you google it but no solution.

Thanks everyone for your help so far.

This doesn't make sense but worked for my Dad so please humour me.

Are you with O2 or Tesco mobile by any chance? If so, (according to O2) the conditional forwarding is information only meaning anyone ringing you if you are busy will be forwarded to voicemail and nothing to do with the party you are calling.

Does it come up on all calls and you maybe haven't noticed it as they get through ok?

Here's the odd bit - cancelling it allowed my Dad to ring numbers he couldn't. I wonder if there is a bug on negotiation or something so being rejected by one party? (Complete guess as its the only logic I can find)

You can cancel conditional forwarding on O2 by dialling ##002# if I remember correctly but can't remember how to switch back on! It took a call to O2 I think, or possibly just in the normal settings on the S1 - This was about 3 months ago and I've been asleep since then!

Edit: I'm racking my brains here what else we did - its possible we also switched off forwarding under settings-Call-callforwarding too.
