Root Help restoring rom

Hi, followed the excellent step by step to root which worked great.
Decided to install GingerVillain rom which works great but I miss my HTC Sense rom.
I want to go back to the original but I didnt back it up!

Can I download a rooted version of the HTC Sense rom 2.2
Will it still check for updates automatically?

Are there any "improved" HTC Sense roms out there?

This is a nice gingerbread rom with a lot of the sense 3.0 incorporated
[ROM][7/05][Sense2.1+Sense3.0 GB]InsertCoin CM7/STOCK v20 - xda-developers
make sure to get the a2sd version not the cm7 version

Have you tried it?
Just managed to install LeeDroid 2.2 which is very good but quite bloated, looking to see if theres a lite version
