Help!!! ROM update and my phone doesn't work

Rooted my Samsun Galaxy Prevail a month ago. Worked great. CTMod etc and last night I picked up my phone and several things were updating. Saw one just as it was ending but can't remember exactly what it said something like "ROM update". I turned off my phone last night and today when I turn it on it comes up to the screen Kouma Kernel 2.5 and just sits there and doesn't go any further than that. Stuck on the screen. I finally just take the battery out to turn it off. What do I need to do to fix this???

first off post in the rooted section under ct mod where the people with that mod and problems can help, instead of making a new thread. the roms will never update unless you do it. maybe was a boost system update, which you should never allow when rooted. and might have to just reflash the rom if can still get into cwm. and you should always make cwm backups as you progress.
 
Ok, I will post on that section. Yeah, I just saw the update as it was ending. And all I saw was "ROM update" as it was finishing dowloading. I will post to the CTMod section. How would I "reflash" the ROM? I'm a real newbie here!!

turn phone off, take out sd card and use pc or card reader to then transfer the zip of the ct mod you are or want to use. then put back into phone hold power and vol up to get into cwm. then navigate to the ctmod zip and flash. now if it is still on card then just use cwm to flash.

How did you install it the first time?

LOL, don't feel bad. I made that mistake many times before I learned my lesson.

When wiping and re-installing, I make two backups. One right after I do a fresh install and then one after I get everything installed. ;) If everything runs smoothly, I usually go back and delete the first backup. :D
