Help! I need to root Froyo 2.2. I did root 2.2 before with Universal Androot. It worked perfectly. Then I received an update from Google. It was the froyo build FRG22D. I used to have FRG01B. Now my root access is gone. Universal Androot still says that I am rooted, but all my root applications dont get root access. I try rooting again with Universal Androot, but it fails, and Universal Androot fails at unrooting too! I need help ASAP!!!!!

I have a Motorola Droid.
It's running Android 2.2.
Build: FRG22D

Please HELP!!!

You need to flash back to 2.1 w/ sprecovery and root from there. Universal androot and/or easyroot is no longer a factor in rooting your phone. This means you have to go through the rsd lite process just in case you didn't root that way before.

Make sure you uninstall universal androot too. Having that on your phone could cause potential problems w/ permissions and what not.
