Here's the best advice you will get if you want to root/flash a custom rom.
Before you root and rom you need to read the stickies on the link below so you don't brick your phone. Spend at least few hours skimming thru whats there. Scroll thru all the recent threads and read anything that you think might be helpful. ie, do your homework so you don't wind up as another "Help I bricked my phone post".
