Root Help rooting My LG Optimus V

Instead of paying 300 hundred dollars on a triumph and rooting and adding rom, ima do it on My Optimus. But im a noob. and the guides here dont seem to make since. I need someone to guide me through the steps of adding CM7(2.3) to my optimus. Does the most recent version have bugs and probems?

I think i Changed my mind...lol. I've decided to buy the triumph. But im definately gonna be using that link in the near fuure, for my little brother after i get my triumph.

Please DO NOT factory reset once it is rooted. It is a nightmare to fix. However part of me wants to do it to learn exactly how to fix it first hand. Lol I'm odd that way.

If they factory reset a Hitachi screen V it might end up a permanent brick.
