Hi, I've had my i777 for about 8 months now and I've encountered my first major problem with this phone. I was rebooting my phone today because I haven't done so in a few days and I updated 10+ apps on Google Play. First I noticed something went wrong because the phone actually restarted itself without me having to push the power button. It got to the AT&T "Rethink Possible" screen and it rebooted itself again.
2nd reboot it came on and I got the Android 1st time startup screen that you get the first time you turn on your brand new phone. I was like oh crap did it do a factory reset by itself for some reason? I got thru the initial setup and I started getting all these force close pop ups (for all the apps that have auto start-up). I didn't lose anything, all the apps are still there, my pictures, my music, my home screens and all icons/shortcuts are there still, they just don't work anymore. And I wasn't connected to anything anymore...It looked like it lost all my logins and most of the apps are not working anymore (won't start, got the Sorry! The application xxxxxx has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again. pop up window).
I've re-installed a few apps that I use the most often like Google Voice and Whatapps (had to re-set up everything). And I'm afraid I'd have to uninstall and re-install all my other apps which would take forever. Anyone knows what could've happened to my phone? I immediately downloaded the app avast! Mobile Security and re-installed Lookout security and ran some scans but no viruses or malware are found. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
