(please ignore).. found the solution. There is another 'language setting' option under "Samsung specific options", which only affects the Samsung keyboard.. .

I don't know how it happened, but my Samsung mode keyboard just changed and is stuck in AZERTY mode (had phone for 2 monhts). How do I change it back to QWERTY? I checked Locale setting is selected for English/US. I've tried rebooting already, but no help..
The Android and Swype keyboards are QWERTY, but I prefer Samsung because of the 'arrow' key option and is more responsive.
