Help Silent Calls 2.1v3

Seems like this is happening more and more. I have bars all the time...

I'll make a call or answer my phone and I'll be just dead silence. I can't hear them, they can't hear me and the call doesn't end until I hit the end button...This has never happened before when i was using v2. Any ideas?

I had this same problem. I thought it was software related. Nice people here thought it might be hardware related.

I called Verizon, explained exactly what was happening. I neglected to mention that I installed a leaked update, and told them the problem had been around on and off throughout the life of the phone but was getting worse.

Verizon sent me a new phone two days later. Zero silent calls since.

It was driving me nuts, I wanted to smash the phone on multiple occasions.

What rom are you running though? Dud you flash the new one ?
