Lurker
Hi, I recently got my Droid Charge and dont get me wrong I love it, but while watching some videos on youtube, I see alot of them doing speed test and well my test don't even come close to matching theirs. This is what I got on speedtest app. This is via wifi and right next to the router. Ping is 29ms. download speed is .9Mbps and upload is 4.04Mbps. When I do the test via 3g with 4 bars(don't have 4g at my location yet) these are my results. Ping 116. Download .53Mbps and Upload .58Mbps. Any help on how these speeds compare and if they are slow is something up with the phone being it is brand new?

Much Appreciated,
Kyle

Thats not unusual for 3G. My 3G-D runs at 1.5Mbps Down .75Mbps up. Thats at 3G-D, so I would expect slower on 3G. Your speeds seem about right.

Your wifi download speed is c-r-a-w-l-i-n-g along there, esp compared to upload. Should be a helluva lot faster, even if it's not a Wireless/N router. Are you running bittorrent or is some wardriver parked out front of your house?

Agreed. Your Wifi should be a lot faster. Right now I don't have 4G either and I get about the same 3G speeds as the OP. I'm looking forward to having 4G in my area.
