Help Help - Stock Browser Problem

Rickardo

Newbie
I have a Unlocked SG II from Phones 4U on Vodafone in the Uk

If I view a web page and the do the double tap to zoom in, when I try to scroll up and down I get the grey and white grid pattern thing . Its like the web pages aren't loaded fully. but if I scroll really slowly its ok

It did not do this when I first had it but seem to be getting worse.

The phone is not rooted and I am on

Version 2.3.4

Baseband I9100XKI1

Kernal Version 2.6.35.7-I9100XWKI4-CL575468root@DELL143 #2

Hope you guys can shed some light on this

Cheers

Rick

Does this happen on any other browsers, have you tried any? Is this happening on wifi or normal data usage? You might also try going to stock browser settings and resetting them back to default values.

You can also go to Settings/Manage Application and under the All tab, scroll to the browser and clear data / cache. It will however reset your settings to default including clearing any bookmarks. It might solve your problem.

Thanks for the replys guys.

I tried reseting as you suggested and it seemed a bit better but still had it so i have tried using Opera instead and it has gone so i think it must just be a faulty stock browser.

I also like that Opera has the option for text wrapping like my old HTC Desire. That was the only thing that i did not like on the s2.

Hopefully that has sorted it out until we get ICS on our phones.

thanks again for your help
