Root Help! stuck in boot loop

I rooted my wife's desire using unrevoked and all went well. Did not change anything else, kept stock rom (o2 - uk)
I have titanium backup and rom manager installed.

I downloaded pinky adfree enable and disable zip files and put them on the root of the sd card, flashed the adfree enable and now the phone will not boot up, gets to the o2 screen stays for a few minutes and then just reboots and keeps doing that. I can get to recovery but did not make a backup first. Is there anything I can do to get out of this situation? Like undoing my stupidity?
 
Always take backups before flashing.


You may.now need to.flash a custom Rom if data wipe from recovery doesn't get you in a bootable.state

I tried a data wipe from recovery and that did not work, I have the following but I think it can only be applied to he phone using HTC sync ? and I don't know how to apply this with the phone in its current state.

Can anyone point me to a zip file of the O2 branded rom? I'm assuming that will work If I flash it from recovery?

I'm assuming that because the phone is simlocked to O2 that no other roms than the branded O2 will work?
Please correct me if I am wrong.
 
Shipped ROMs

These are very slow. Find the one you want from Shipped ROM's site, google its name and download it from a torrent.

Other roms may work if your still rooted, I have an HTC stock rom if you want the link? Go to fastboot and tell us what it reads.

Edit: Do you have a goldcard?

No I do not have a Goldcard :(
 
when I run the RUU from my pc I get the Rom update utility box appearing and it asks to turn on the phone and connect it with usb cable.

because I'm in a bot loop can I do that or can I connect it whilst in recovery?

Can you get into fastboot?

Hold back and turn on. If it gets to the fastboot screen, plug usb in and when it states its connected on the screen (Fastboot USB), run it then

When I get to this screen, using vol up or down just scrolls between Bootlogger, Reboot, Reboot Bootloader and Power down?
 
so plug the USB in. "Fastboot" will become "fastboot USB".

At that point, you're set to go.

Ok, you guys are a legend! phone now boots up normally, only thing now it says that there is no sim even when the sim is inserted, any ideas?
