Help Help- Stuck In Boot Screen

Well I was going to put my first ROM on (cyanogen) and something went wrong. I had done a Nandroid backup and when I try it says Error while flashing boot image. I can't get past the boot screen. In desperation I tried Wipe data/factory reset in Clockworkmod Recovery v2.5.0.1 to no avail. Can anyone help me outta this mess?

So, you're saying you get that error when you try to restore your nandroid backup? Do you have any other ROMs on your sdcard (flashable zips)? What is your hboot/radio version?

How and when did you get the eng bootloader (.76)? Did you make a nandroid backup on a different hboot, or did you root via the eng bootloader in the first place?

Ok, do you have data backed up elsewhere? You've already wiped data, correct?

Based on your radio version, download one of these ROMs:

New_RUU_Supersonic_3.30.651.3_Odexed & Deodexed_Stock_11-15-2010 - xda-developers

You can flash one based off 3.70, but then you'd have to flash your radios. Let's just get it up and running first.

You have Clockwork 2.5.01, right? Assuming you have problems with getting to recovery, connect your phone to your computer. There should be an option in clockwork to mount your sdcard via usb. I think it's under the partitions menu. You will then be able to copy files to your sdcard from your computer. Copy the zip file linked to above to the root of the sdcard. Unmount and disconnect the usb. Then wipe data/cache/dalvik, and flash the ROM. That should at least get you up and running.

So, you don't remember when you created the nandroid backup? If you created it with any other hboot version, it won't work now. That's why I'm wondering if you've always had the eng bootloader or if you downgraded later, after already getting s-off.

I made the Nandroid backup today. I've tried restoring but I keep getting the same error. Right now I'm charging another battery cause I read that the battery needs to be charged up fully for a nandroid backup restore. Right now I'm up and running on another rom. But I'd sure like to restore my old version.

Yes, it will error out if your battery is lower than 30%, I believe. Try it again with a full battery. You were able to get it up and running with that other ROM, at least? That's a start. If you made the nandroid backup earlier today and it finished successfully, you should be able to restore it. Was the battery low when you tried to restore earlier?

No problem. I should have thought to ask you that question in the first place. You should be able to restore it once the battery is higher.
