Help Help syncing droidx music with 2011 camaro!!!

So when i first got my Camaro i plugged in my wife's ipod and it worked brilliantly. The car instantly recognized the ipod and i was able to search by album, artist, genre, and most importantly PLAYLIST.

I have all my music and playlists on my droid X.

Then i plug my droidx into my usb port the car stereo "indexes" for a little while and then it plays just fine. I can search by artist, song, genre, album. But for the life of me, the car will not recognize any playlists. I cant search for a playlist, as far as my car is concerned, i dont have any playlists on this phone.

Is there any way to get my car to know i have a playlist? or should i just go get myself an ipod for car duty?

I don't think the camaro headunit was programed to talk anything but apple. IE the format of your playlist file is not understood by the headunit.

I haven't looked one in a while but see if in your manual there is mention of it supporting generic MP3 players.

OR, see if the one of the music apps on the android stores playlists in the format that apple uses.

This would be my first guess, site unseen. incidentally I have an aftermarket headuint that is specifically designed for the iwhatever family. and it works fine with my DX.

INFact, it also works well if I have the DX paired over BT audio and running Winamp. that might be your other option. run winamp on your dx.

Thanks for your help.

I have tried the bluetooth and im not crazy about it for two reasons. 1) the sound quality isn't great, and (2) i cant control the songs through my stereo, i have to do it on the phone.

Any ideas on any apps that would do that?

The sound quality is the same. It is a pure digital transfer to the deck, just like the usb connection.
Granted I have an aftermarket HU and it was setup for BT audio transfer. And like I said mine actually did control the play back through the HU.

IE hitting next changed songs, pause paused, etc.

Granted when I tried this the last time, I was running winamp on the DX
