Help: Syncing Music is an Absolute Nightmare

I'm using Tunesync right now but I'm looking for something that will upload songs I've downloaded on the device. Tunesync will only upload Amazon purchased mp3s? does isyncr upload sync with itunes? I just want something that will sync both ways... any help would be appreciated...
 
New here... and new Evo/Android user, but I use MediaMonkey for syncing and managing music. I do this instead of the file/copy method because all my music is stored as lossless, and configured MediaMonkey to transcode any lossless file before transferring it to the Evo. I also used MediaMonkey to sync to my previous phone, a BlackBerry Pearl.

What's great about MediaMonkey is how configurable it is in regards to syncing, setting up transcode rules, how you want it synced to any device etc.

ROFL. That is so true! But my god, I hate iTunes with a passion. I love the drag and drop-ability of the EVO. And guess what? I can also get music from multiple computers!
 
One of the biggest reasons why I moved away from the iPhone is because I can just copy music directly to the Evo's Music folder just like I would a flash drive... why the hell do you need any sync program?
 
Seriously the day that I deleted itunes from my computer I should have thrown a party I was so happy. Why would anyone go out of their way to not drag and drop is crazy to me.

I still use iTunes because my wife and daughter have iPods. So, iTunes is the primary organizer. Since that's where the music is for family consumption, I use iSyncr to move it to my Evo.

FWIW, I like the Meridian player (AppBrain, Market) - free, plays music and video in one app.

For podcasts, maybe try: BeyondPod for Android

Remember - what's dead easy for some, isn't for others, the world's a big place, it takes all kinds, let's not hate on people's choices.

The only real problem with iTunes on Windows are the draconian measures Apple imposed for bloatware installation on that platform while doing nothing to update to a usable Windows experience.

iTunes is simply an xml browser (and FairPlay manager if you actually go for DRM'd stuff) for the QuickTime engine. iTunes does little, QuickTime does much.
