help tab2 froze

i was just writting a tread for help and tips with best apps settings etc on my new tab2 10.1 but the device has frozen and will n ot respond to buttons screen etc? and im guessing unlike the s3 the batterys not that accessable to remove it?

ahh found a web site promoting holdijng the power button for a long period thats worked, but what caused this to happen? and will it be a regular occurance..?
