Help Help to close a window

R2D6

Lurker
Hi all,
I have an app that has created an annoying window which can't be closed. Weirdly, it is only visible when my phone is held "in landscape".
On windows systems there are programs to help investigate open windows, often using crosshairs, and kill the window or program associated with it... is there such an app in Android???
Thanks in advance...

[Edit] I can't provide a screenshot, but the window looks like a Facebook login, but isn't listed in the regular app list, and does not close when Facebook is forceStopped. I think it was started by one of the floating apps, which I had installed and "played with".

Thanks, I didn't want to go that far, I hoped an app would make that unnecessary, but you are right, that is the common sense approach.
But unnecessarily uninstalling apps is... frustrating, there must be a way to identify apps and kill a window!?
I'm hoping a simple reboot will kill that window anyway... I have a system update to come, so the problem might solve itself, at least until the next time.

what phone do you have?

Really, a screen capture would make a big difference. Do an online search for how to do a screen shot for your particular model, it varies widely varies. Some phones you can swipe a certain direction across the display, some rely upon pressing buttons, etc.
