Help Help transferring contacts from G1

Just bought a Samsung Vibrant and while everyone I have emailed in the past four years shows up in my contacts none of names/numbers I put into my G1 are. Used the same sim card- traded it from the G1 to the Vibrant. Any tips?

Also: G1 always had sync on, when I look at contacts in Gmail I don't see any from my phone. With the Vibrant I have hit sync a few times and none of them show up. They are still on the G1. Anyone else in the same boat?

Have you gone into the sync settings and seeing if your contacts are syncing with Google Contacts?
