Help transferring music/files from computer

Hi guys,

Hopefully you can help me, I've been trying unsuccessfully to figure out how to transfer music to the Galaxy nexus from my computer. Problem is I have an older version MAC computer. I've downloaded both Android File Transfer and Samsung Kies and can't install either on my computer because they require a newer version of Mac. I also downloaded Google Music and can't install the music uploader of my computer because of the same problem.

When I plug in the phone to my computer via usb my computer doesn't recognize it at all, I've tried both Meda Device MTP or Camera PTP.

Any suggestions? I'm at a loss lost and almost thinking about returning this phone because of all the issues I've been having.

Use something more generic .. I recommend File Expert. It has a Share My Contents that opens a wifi path to your device. FTP, web, network.

You'll find one that does the trick ... regardless of the platform.

try AirDroid for a wireless connection. Desktop and phone just need to be on same wifi

I downloaded AirDroid.. when I put the generated address in the browser and my computer it says it cannot find the server. any help?

iSyncr works flawlessly for transferring playlists from iTunes to your phone with all metadata.

Works with 10.5+ so not sure how help full that is for the op.
