A friend gave me his old EVO 4G because he got the new 4G LTE, but its Rooted and it has:
Android 4.0.4
Playground ICS version NewEra8
And the interface seems to be called NOVA
It has Nova Launcher 1.0.3beta2
I went and activated it online through Sprint.com, and it said the phone was activated, but then on the phone, under "Settings"> "About Phone">"Status">"My phone number" it still has HIS phone number and the "MIN" is his too.
On a phone that isn't rooted I know this can be easily changed by updating the PRL.
I called Sprint and they told me to dial ##9...and some other numbers and # again, which I know works on non-rooted phones, but it wont work on this phone.
Does anyone know what I can do??? How to update the PRL on this rooted phone. I really don't care for the root honestly, I am not very knowledgeable of all this stuff. If its easier to remove the root, ill do it.
