Help Help - usb connection crashes computer!

Had my Galaxy S2 for a couple of weeks and has been connecting to PC, both to charge and to sync via Kies just fine, until yesterday...

When I connected it, my PC blue-screened (don't see that very often these days, with XP!), with message saying that there was a prblem with wpdusb.sys - "driver mistakenly marked part of it's image pagable instead of non-pagable".

Rebooted and it connected agian fine, but then this mornign it's done it again, so I'm a little wary of connecting it all now...

... any ideas?!

Damn... a week without this occurring, and I'd put it down to connecting the phone while services were still starting. But today, well after starting up windows, I connected, and bang!

No ideas out there on what'll be causing this?

Apologies for shamelessly bumping the thread, but this is still happening and it's a real problem, so if there's any chance of anybody offering a solution, I could really do with it!

Just to fill you all with fear, here's the consequences of plugging my phone in...

Are you plugging into the same port using the same USB cable each time? I have had a bad USB port do the blue screen thing on one of my older computers and yet it works fine on another port. The cable could be bad also.

After that delete and reinstall the software and make sure your computer has the latest updates, too.

Good ideas... will try changing port and cable. Of course, the problem is it's intermitent, but it's frequent enough that I should soon see if it helps.
