Root Help w/ Automatic OTA Update

Main CWM screen... "wipe cache partition."

Advanced screen... "wipe Dalvik Cache"

That was all I did, and it stopped cycling power, and trying to update.

doesnt this process result in losing all your apps and custom settings? i dont feel like making a list of my apps and reinstalling one by one yet again.

does anyone have ideas on how to either get this update installed without returning to stock or how to get the update notification to go away? i've read that the new update removes the ability to root. is this true?

p.s. i already did the above steps (cleared caches, renamed the zip file) and i am still getting the update notification

i installed the new rooted update and radio, and did the partition cache and dalvik cache wipe, but when i go in to settings/update it's still asking me if i want to install the defered update. but in my software info, it's showing the new .9 version. anyone have any thoughts?

Same issue with me. I was rooted Revolution, got the boot looping/OTA error, but after the quick fix to get the phone working, the updated downloaded; I was able to deferred the installation. Since then I have flashed the rooted/debloat Rom and radio from Jrocker23. All seems to be working fine, but how do I prevent the downloaded upgrade from installing in four days?
