Root Help w/recovery issue...

OK, so heres the question.. I was running CWM.. Installed on my rom the day it was rooted.. I see most roms recommend using amon ra.. So I attempted to install it via a recovery.img with cleanflash. When I was able to get into recovery, it was still CWM. So i then attempted to flash it back to CWM.. It goes to the white HTC screen.. As soon as it dims I hit the power button, then power it back on quickly and it is on my home screen. My quesiton is, how can i unscrew it!!

Again, if i reboot the phone, it will stay on the white HTC screen until i hit the power button(Dim)... Then, I hit the power button again(quickly), and its on my home screen. I want to run amon ra so I can flash these ICS Roms, but this is somehow preventing me from doing so..

Please any help would be greatly appreciated..

Grab a PC and strap in..

1) Hopefully you already have these files:
adb.exe
fastboot.exe
AdbWinApi.dll
AdbWinUsbApi.dll
--If not, see attached zip file
2) Grab Amon-Ra or CWM whichever you prefer
3) If the above file is zipped, unzip it and take the IMG file and place it in the same directory as fastboot.exe
4) Plug your phone into the PC(the phone should be in normal running mode with USB debugging turned on)
5) Make sure your phone is in charge only mode
6) Open a command prompt on your PC(Start -> Run -> CMD.exe)
7) Change directory to where you stored the above files (ex. "cd \android")
8) Run the command "adb reboot bootloader" (don't touch your phone it will do the work on it's own)
-- when it reaches the bootloader you should see a red bar that says "Fastboot USB"
9) Run the command "fastboot flash boot <the .img file from above>"
10) Either use the on screen prompts to reboot or type "fastboot reboot"
????
Profit
