Root HELP! Weird Radio Problem

If you don't mind, flash a couple other combined radios before unrotig and let us know if the lte baseband changes.

In the radio thread, try the 726 radio, and if no change try the 704. Make sure to verify Md5 sums

If no change still, flash the files as described above. If no change there, you Prolly have a mechanical failure. :(

I would suggest downloading both zips first and checking the md5 sums before you flash either but yes those steps are correct

....and still got the same thing...i also flashed more than one rom (a sense based, and liquid) and am on cm7 now that seems to be working, but its still acting up on me..I think I got a bad phone :( lol. Ima definitely unroot tomorrow when I get home from class and go from there..if I still am having issues, verizon better give me a damn good warranty replacement (sorry for the language, but thats how I feel about them now). :)

You chose the wrong smiley should be  with the issues you are having I don't think your feelings are unfounded and it sounds like it could be a hardware issue with how many different radios you have tried

it was actually supposed to be a :( face, i must have just typed it wrong out of frustration

I do have one more question..whenever i'm deleting the first file off my sd card and putting the second file on my sd card, am I going to be able to do that through my phone, or will it have to be through an adapter? If its with an adapter I will have to go buy one tomorrow

Just to make sure I'm on the same page... Does your lte baseband show the correct numbers now after the different radio flashes? Or does it still look like above, with the wired symbol?

You are now able to make calls and texts?

Not trying to talk you out of unrooting, just makin sure I understand everyting correctly :)

It happens, if you have any issues tomorrow with the flashes let us know. Hope you can get your phone working properly at all times :D

Yes you are correct. But last night the same thing happened where it showed up correctly. Then, this afternoon it showed all the weird stuff in the baseband so thats when I got real mad and flash crazy and flashed probably 8 different things in a matter of 30 minutes. SO, I am expecting the same thing to happen sometime tomorrow and end I'll up with the same problem.

So I've gone through a full day and my radio is still working...surprisingly. I'm still going to go ahead with the unroot though. I think my problem is LTE, because my area recently go it and I have never had any trouble before then. But I definitely want to use 4G because that was the whole reason I bought this phone in the first place. Ima OTA when unrooted and go from there..IF this problem remains I will be going into verizon tomorrow and complaining

alright so i'm trying to check the md5 on my sd but for some reason I'm continually getting an "sd card unmounted" error at the top of my screen. So I dont know what to do know if my sd card keeps getting unmounted somehow

***the problem stopped happening once I deleted this 1)PG05IMG_1.70.605.0_nohboot.zip from my sd card...I think it was a bad download, but I double checked the md5 and it was fine...i must be doing something wrong because everything is going wrong

Wierd, had you already renamed it and placed it on the root of the card? If you can get it to the right place then you should just need to boot into hboot and "update"

Yeah it was in the right place. everytime i went to check the md5 is when it would say unmounted...I really want to check the md5 when its on the phone to be safe.

Shouldn't over 4G or wifi, I don't think wifi speed it limited by the phone (perhaps the write speed of the SD) but it shouldn't take that long

The only thing is its more of a hassle to do :( all I want is a phone that can call and make texts..i really don't even care about internet anymore..I'm so tempted to just sell the thing on ebay for 100 bucks..I'm just very frustrated right now as you can probably tell

how are you checking the md5? with AFV? phone plugged in or not?

First checked it with a checker on my computer...then transfered it over to phone and checked with AFV...It gets to 60% done and then freezes and says "sd card unmounted" in the notification bar..also phone not plugged in when checked with AFV

I still think you should just set down the phone and let it download straight to the card then just work on there with it. There is no reason putting a file on the SD should cause your SD to become unmounted but this way you will bypass handing off the file from one machine to the next

Ok I'm just gonna do it...its probably going to take a while though...
So is the first thing I'm flashing just a rom or what is it? and what is the second? I'm just confused how I will be unrooted just by flashing the two files :/

You flash them in hboot, the first one will rewrite your everything on the phone other than hboot, the second will put the stock hboot on the phone. You must do it in that order because the stock hboot only allows signed flashes, if you flash it first you will get a brick when you try to flash the other.

ok I got that. flash huge 420 mb file first and then the smaller one to get stick hboot..im sorry im not very intelligent when it comes to this kind of stuff..i would rather ask dumb questions and get it right than take a shot in the dark and brick my phone
