help !! WIFI TETHERING

is anybody knows here WIFI TETHERING ??
its about a mobile becoming portable wifi hotspot..
my SONY XPERIA NEO L has wifi tethering but when i activate it and and other device connect to it , device gets signal but theres no internet connection eventhough my mobile has load..
pls help ..

Do you have a wifi hot spot plan purchased from your carrier?

Otherwise root is needed to achieve what your trying to do.

actually none, i dont have a wifi hot spot plan and i didnt knows about that ..
i thought if loading my sim and registered in unlimited surf wifi hotspot can activate ..

i dont know how to root my phone ??
and did rooting can harm mobile phones ??

Which carrier are you with? i think t mobile is the only carrier that offers free hotspot. at least when i was with them they did. May not offer it anymore.

But yes, thats why your wifi hotspot isnt working then.

If your unfamiliar with root, it may be in your interest not to until you read up on it :)
