Root HElp with Adb for Recovery

Ok im Trying to update my recovery on my rooted EVo through fastboot but the Fastboot.exe and Adb open up and close fast once I click on them.. Im running WIn 7 64 bit.. Download, extract to root c:/ the latest full SDK. Use the SDk manager to install and update all packages..even the USB drivers. In the device manager its showing Android Device connected as My HTC.. and yet i cant find a way to run Fastboot or even ADB properly.. Any help is appreciated .. SOrry if this is in wrong topic..

adb should be run from a command prompt on your computer. You may have to cd to the directory and then run it.

You can flash an updated recovery from rom manager, either clockwork or amon ra. Makes it super easy.
