Is there a way to have my Bionic automatically connect to the Bluetooth when I hop in my truck without manually connecting? My 5 year old work Nextel does.

I hope this isn't normal..My Bionic is due in today and my DroidX2 that I am retireing connects automatically as soon as I am near my truck (2011 Chevy Silverado).

Once paired, my Bionic connects fine to my BT headset and my Jabra Cruiser BT speakerphone in the car.

If you've paired the phone with the car, and if bluetooth is enabled on the phone and in-car, then they should pair automatically. However, I use to have problems with my Moto Droid X and my in-car Moto Bluetooth handsfree speaker system, so your mileage may vary.

I currently have a Razr and I dock it when I get into the car. I use Tasker to sense that it's in the dock and turn bluetooth on an enable GPS. Within about a minute, my phone pairs with the car and I'm ready to go.

Hopefully you shouldn't have any problems...

Good luck. The bluetooth on the Bionic reminds me of my old Moto V600. It's a PoS.

*some* of times my bionic will auto connect. Sometimes it connects but with no audio at all. Requires a phone reboot, then a car reboot.
