Help Help with calendar issues, etc..

I'm not even sure I'm in the right place to ask for help, but I'm sure someone will direct me.
I switched from a Palm to a Droid and I hate it. I have downloaded the Jorte calendar because the stock one was worthless to me--just frustrating. Now that I've spent a day moving everything over, I wonder what happens next year. I could find no choice of repeating items, such as bi-weekly appts. and now wonder how birthdays, etc. will get into next year. If I have to do it by hand again, I may just chuck the whole thing and go back to the antiquated, but friendly, Palm. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

There's no need to hate Android, every beginning is hard (I also had a palm few years ago).
I'm also using Jorte and you're right, there's no possibility to repeat event every second week, but you can suggest this to developer and maybe he will add this option. Other repeating options are available (like daily, working day, weekly...), you have to scroll a little bit down when creating event, occurence option is there.
Birthdays are checked by "Birthday" application (with widget on the home screen and alarm), it can import birthdays from contacts, works like a charm.

Well, have been to Jorte website and went through all the q/a's and still can't find Widgets except 1x1,1x2 etc. Have no idea what that is but nothing else available under widget settings. Any ideas??
