Root help with clockwork mod

i have 2.2 android verson and it is rooted with z4 root. now i do have experence with rooting and flashing roms i have done it to many hauwei ascends and recently have flashed the new cm7 to them so i have an idea of what to do but every time i go to flash my optimus with clockwork mod my phone never shows up but i know it works with it so please a lil guidence
 
dude never try clockwork mod it doesn`t work with the optimus m. It will totally brick your phone. Trust me it happened to me.

Holding home power and volume down gets you into custom recovery
But to me it sounds like you're in a shell trying to get custom recovery back.
 
im confused i have never flashed this phone in to custom recovery i downloaded the file that was on the guild and put into my memory card now what do i do
 
ok im really confused can some one pzl just give me a step by step guild on how to get a custom recovery into my 2.2 optimus i have tried on what i thought to do and i just keep hard resting my phone and its pissing my off

Installing Custom Recovery
Go to Android SDK | Android Developers and download the file that ends with .zip.
Extract it to your C:\ drive. Go to C:\android-sdk-windows and open sdkmanager.exe.
After it is open, a window will pop out, click reject on all files except for:
Android SDK Tools and Android SDK Platform tools.
Make sure USB debugging is activated (On your phone go to settings> applications>development and check USB debugging) Then open up Cmd and type the following: cd C:\android-sdk-windows\platform-tools.
NOW you'll be able to input the commands needed to flash the Custom Recovery in this thread
Finally Custom Recovery for 2.2.1 stock phones !!!!!!
 
im having trouble putting putting in the codes to flash my phone with the recovery. again i have 2.2 not 2.2.1 and do i need to have the phone off or on
 
i have done that and i still cant get the ability to put the commands in i have the unzipped fill of the recovery on my sd card i just dont know what to do

Just a bit more information please.
Give us a play by play as to what you are doing and what is not working.
The devil IS in the details, most of the time and you are probably missing something.
Oh, and are you on an XP machine or something newer like Vista or Windows 7?

ok i am using vista i have downloaded the sdk file i have unzipped it and clicked to sdk manager when i do that the intsall window has popped up and i have only installed the sdk tools and the sdk platform tools and i cant put the commands in
 
i was messing with rom manager and something went wrong...now my phone is stuck on lg screen, computer wont recognize it..need help please
