Help Help with cm7 install

Update: I figured it out. I had to download webosdoc and acme many times, until I finally got them to work.
Also, for any idiots like me whom the idiot guide did not work for, remember to not unzip webosdoc when you download it. Once it is downloaded, find the novacom installer, which should be in the zipped file, under a folder called resources. Once you find it, run it, and the rest is as easy as what is on the idiots video guide. In my case, you just have to do it repeatedly until it works. Also, if you find yourself like me in a screen with the usb symbol stuck on your touchpad between tries, you can get out of it by holding down the volume up button, power button, and the menu button at the same time for 5 - 10 seconds until you get put back into webos.

Original question:

I need help with my install. I have looked at all the videos, and read all the threads I could find, but nothing seems to be helping me. Even the idiots guide video is not idiot proof enough for me. I cannot find the Palm folder in my computers program files. It was recommended I go to CMD in my computer and type novacom, but that did not work either. I also tried novacom.exe. Both gave me nothing. If anyone can help me, and provide very basic idiot proof instructions, I would appreciate it greatly. Here is what I have downloaded so far:

ACMEInstaller
moboot_0.3.4
update-cm-7.1.0-tenderloin....
webosdoctorp....
gapps-gb...
update-cwm...tend...

I also put gapps-gb..., moboot_0.3.4, update-cm-7.1.0-tenderloin...., and update-cwm...tend... on the touchpad's root directory, under file: cminstall.

I just don't get where I am going wrong. If you guys think I am getting in over my head already at this simple process and should just quit, I will take your expert advice and run from modding. :D

Open a cmd window and type novacom and press enter. If you get a list of novacom options, you don't need to find the palm folder.

Then you only need to type "cd", followed by the folder where your acme script is. I.e. if you extracted your acme script to "c:\users\administrator\desktop\acme", you'd need to type this and press enter:

cd c:\users\administrator\desktop\acme

Then you can continue with your novacom script.

I tried going into a cmd window, and typed novacom behind C:\Users\Admin>

This is the message I got when I typed it in:
'novacom' is not recognized as an internal or external command operable program or batch file.

I am thinking I did not install a program. I did not find a step where I had to install anything yet, except in the idiots guide video. But that person did not say what I was installing or where to get it. I think he said install novacom, but I have no idea where I need to get that as none of the directions I am reading have told me to install it. Sigh, I guess I am even dumber than the idiot that the idiot guide was meant for...

Edit: I think I may have not done something right when I downloaded webosdoctor. I have downloaded it time and time again, but no sign of a novacom.exe. I also downloaded to a file I put on my desktop. Was I supposed to do something else with it? Was I supposed to put it in my program files? Was something supposed to happen when I downloaded the file? Was I not supposed to open it? This is one of a few things I can only think of where I missed a step that I cannot find anywhere. I am guessing whatever I missed, everyone thinks is common sense therefore never put it in the instructions or idiots video guide. Unfortunately, I am not getting it.

Edit x2: I think I got it. I needed to not unzip the webosdoc file, go into the files, then click on webos installer x64 for my computer and os. After doing that, it worked. Sigh, I never saw this in the instructions. I am going to contemplate doing this now as obviously I am in way over my head if you guys naturally know how to do this without instructions. I am wondering now how many other things are like this that are not in instructions that I will need to figure out on my own.

I am having problems again. I went into CMD now, typed DIR, and found novacom.exe and ACMEInstaller. But when I type "novacom boot mem:// < ACMEInstaller" (without the quotes), I get an empty cursor, and nothing happens to the touchpad. I thought this is supposed to be automatic? It continues to stay on the USB symbol screen. Any suggestions?

Just in case, I tried deleting ACMEInstaller, and put it back in. That did not work. I also did the same with novacom, and that did not work either. I also tried this:
Open a cmd window and type novacom and press enter.
But I am still getting a message that says:
'novacom' is not recognized as an internal or external command operable program or batch file.

I'm sorry you're having trouble (but thanks for finding some bugs). :D

I think the problem is that many of us installed the SDK (programming package) and/or the webOsQuickInstall, which both install Novacom. WebOsQuickInstall is used to install Preware on webOs. If you didn't tweak or overclock webOS you wouldn't have installed these.

You probably have two options.

Thank you very much for your help. I was able to figure it out and I am loving my first look at cm7! I really couldn't have done it without your guides, and their links. I updated my original post in case someone else runs into the same problems I did. I will also have to read into overclocking.

I followed the instructions on the idiots guide and installed everthing as instructed. When I reboot I have the option of the OS I prefer to use. When I click on the CyanogenMod it comes up with their logo and says loading it will do this for about 30 secs and then it reboots and continues to perform this cycle over and over until I interrupt it and choose Web OS. Can anyone help me fix this? Thank you

Did you use this forum's guide?

What files did you install?

How long did you wait for it to boot? (You should wait 5 minute for the first time)

Did you use Acme Installer (or Acme installer 2)?
