Help Help with email

I have used many android devices and Samsung products ... I just switched from the Samsung Galaxy s3 to the galaxy note 3 ... And for some reason I cannot install my optonline email accounts. I have tried everything... but "Authentication Failed" just keeps coming up .. I have searched the internet and I have TRIED EVERYTHING and it is not working at all ... I factory reset my galasy s3 and even reinstalled my email on there to make sure it wasn't something with optimum and it worked great .. the note just won't work... does anyone have any advice???

I have used those settings .. I knew them by heart from previous phones ... what do you mean by the "on board email app"

I'm guessing on-board = stock in this case. What email app are you using when trying to add these accounts?

Whilst this issue is hopefully resolved I know others get problems. One simple "fail" that can be resolved is changing the user name from your email prefix to the full email address. For example - "example@example.com" instead of "example" which is what the Android software will often auto choose. Hope it helps.
