Help Help with ES File Explorer and Galaxy Note

I'm new to this forum and hopefully I'm not re-asking a similar question. I've searched all over but can't seem to find the answer I'm looking for regarding transferring files WiFi via ES File Explorer and my Galaxy Note 10.1.

I've set up my ES File Explorer on my tablet and I can actually see all of the folders on my PC under the Network/LAN section. I've connected to my PC using the Username and Password as well. So I can browse my PC's contents via WiFi from my tablet. I can also manually copy and paste photos, files, etc from my tablet to my PC and vice-versa. So there is an actual WiFi connection here.

The issue is, if I am using the photo gallery or another program on my tablet and I would like to "send" and image from within that particular program in the upper right corner using the ES File Explorer LAN option, ES File Explorer will scan for my PC under the Net Manager but will end up saying "Please check wireless connection. Or you can create a hotspot network and invite others." It will also show a button that says Setup WLAN. I click it but under my tablet settings it will state that I am already connected to my network.

I'm not sure what is causing this because my tablet says I'm already connected to my Wireless network and I can already see all of the files on my PC using the ES File Explorer. It just won't let me send anything from within the programs on my tablet.

Does anyone else have this problem or is there something I haven't set up properly on my tablet to be able to send files from within a program? It's just kind of weird since I can manually copy and paste files within the ES File Explorer though.

Any suggestions or help would be greatly appreciated! It would make it so much easier to transfer files this way.

Thanks

You might want to try and post this in the Galaxy Note 10.1 forum you might get better help there. Not to sure in the Galaxy Tab 2 has ES File Explorer.

Seems to be a ES problem (... or an unknown ES trick ;) ), I can't use ES' "Send by LAN" on my HTC phones and on my Xperia tablet for sending to my NAS.

UPDATE:
ES has to run on the target devices, then you can use 'Share, Send by LAN' for to transfer files to the other devices.

Thanks for the replies everyone. I do see that I did post this in the wrong forum though. Thanks for pointing that out. :)

I have replicated the issue on my Tab 2 10.1 with JB 4.1.2 BUT it only affects use of the "Send to" option on the tablet. ES Explorer looks, in my instance, for a scanning device to scan the file before sending. Then gives the message about connecting etc.

The "Move to" option works fine and can transfer files to the PC

Hope this helps
