Help Help with Gmail push email duplicates problem

arcee

Lurker
Have done some searching but unable to find a definitive answer.

I've set up Gmail (using my PC) to push my POP emails to my Tbolt and receive them in the HTC mail app. This works, but, whenever I get an email it shows up in both my POP account and my Gmail account so I have duplicate email messages.

How do I stop this from happening? Do I delete the Gmail account from the HTC app? If so, how?

Appreciate any suggestions.

Have you thought about not using POP and just using the native gmail app that the phone comes with?

Is there a specific reason why you're using POP?

I like the fact that I can readily access my contacts when forwarding. May be lazy but it's a feature that works for me. It is not available when using Gmail. Dumped K-9 for the same reason.
