I'm looking into finally trying out some custom roms on my Triumph.

I just have a question about the google apps, once installed, will I be able to update it from the android market or how does that work with updates?

The gapps (google apps) package includes the market and other google programs that are needed to access the market... But yes the market will auto update and apps will notify you when there is an update if they're not set up to auto update, in which case they will just automatically update.
