Help help with handcent app

so i've had my evo since it first came out last year and just today i had to replace it bc the charge port broke. anyway, got the phone and immediately installed handcent and im already seeing changes. on my old phone, the led light used to stay on for a while instead of just blink...did that change or am i not setting it up right?

any help is appreciated!!
