When i get a pop up with handcent sms and i tap on the reply tab it takes me back to my home screen. It use to work and since the last update this happens. I've tried uninstalling it and still same issue. Any help would be appreciated thanks.

Wow i guess its hard to get help here if your a NOOB!

thats just a very specific question. if nobody as had that issue before then they cant help you.

ive heard the most recent update had a lot of issues, and for my custom handcent app i didnt use the updated version for that reason. i have the older version of handcent that i havent edited yet if you would like it. if the problem is related to the update it should help.

Just signed up to these forums as I'm looking to get the Desire to replace my Samsung i8910 later this month, so I'm trying to get a feel of the apps etc I'm gonna need.

I've just been having a quick look at Chomps' website and (unless I was reading it wrong), to use it, you have to buy credits off them...is that right?

What about all the included txts you have in your monthly contract allowance with your tariff...?

Cheers

Using the Chomp network allows you to send txts cheaper than if your provider charged a lot per text/mms. Especially if you send txts/mms to users in foreign countries (which your provider may charge more for)

But if you have unlimited messaging from your carrier (either as a add-on bundle or included with your actual plan) then no, you don't and won't pay anything to use Chomp.

There is a setting in the menu of Chomp SMS to change how you want to use the app (via your carrier or via Chomp network)
Pictures attached below show what I mean. Hope this helps.
First picture is the main window of Chomp showing the "Settings" option.
Second picture shows to select "SMS Network"
Third shows to select your carrier.
And thats all you need to do.
Your carrier if selected by default so you shouldn't have to change anything :)
