Help Help with Hotspot on AT&T GoPhone

I have a galaxy express -Att go phone and would like to use this phone as a hotspot. I tried using the android Wi-Fi app but it does not work with my tablet. I do not want a 2 year contract for this service when I would only use it twice a year. Usually I use wifi connect only don't need data package either. Any suggestions on how I can do this without rooting or is this the only way? any suggestions would be appreciated.

I think FoxFi is a popular app for hotspot without root, though I'm not sure on it's compatibility with your devie. Worth a shot.
