Help with HTC Hero for clueless guy!

Hi there from a wintery South Africa!

Would reaaly apreciate some assistance, feel so stupid....

Loaded a gmail account on my HTC Hero and connected to Google talk. Unfortunately subsequently had to delete my gmail account and register another, and cannot reconnect the google talk to the new account. Read in forums the only way is to hard reset. In preparation I purchased My Backup Pro, downloaded the little apk file and then copied to my sd card in my phone.

This is where I got stuck... How do I run or access the application?

Any assistance shall be greastly appreciated!

Clueless Guy-
You do not need to purchase anything. Download Astro File Manager first, then use it to backup all your apps that you don't want to lose...
you can backup/sync your contacts to your gmail account. Make sure any media (like pictures, songs, videos, etc) are saved securely to your SD card. Then do a hard reset.
When your phone comes back up, go to the market and download Astro again. Then you can recover all your backed up apps thru Astro.
