Root Help with HTC unlock and HBOOT

Im trying to unlock my 4G LTE using the htcdev site.

I get through all the steps until i do the command: fastboot oem get_token_identifier

it spits out a CMD ERR and fails

the bootloader says all this "cant find image PJ75DIAG.zip" stuff after some research ive decided my HBOOT version is incorrect.

I RUU'd with the 1.13.651.1 HBOOT is 1.12.0000

i searched the temporary extraction folder for the RUU and took out the rom.zip(which contains HBOOT 1.13.0000), renamed it PJ75DIAG.zip, and placed it on the sd card

now when i go to bootloader it finds the image, checks it, then spits out more of this "cant find this or that" 5 times

So, how does one successfully update the HBOOT so i can get a token for htcdev and unlock my phone?

thanks in advance!

Does your PC have the file extensions hidden by default?

If it does make sure the file looks like PJ75DIAG , not PJ75DIAG.zip

If you add the .zip before you place it on your card it'll have an extra.zip on the end and your bootloader won't recognize the file. Boot your phone up normally and check out your SD card with a file explorer app and see what it looks like on the card through the phone. If it has a .zip.zip, thats your problem.

Otherwise, I'll have to read up and see what I can find. I haven't done this with my phone yet. :o
